Under the Charger's Hood
Every Charger will come standard with a rear-wheel drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SE and SXT trims, however, are offered with a dynamic all-wheel drive system for improved all-weather capability. The SE and SXT trims come standard with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which produces 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Certain trim and packages can increase the power output to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. There are three optional engines, including the 5.7-liter V8 with 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque, the 6.4-liter V8 with 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, and the incredible supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8, which has earned wide acclaim for its 707 horsepower capabilities.
Design of Dodge Charger
The Charger competes in the full-size sedan segment, and there are many different trims that you can choose from. The base SE trim will feature a wide range of standard features, including keyless entry and ignition, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a six-way power-adjustable driver seat. The interior will have a leather-wrapped tilt/telescoping steering wheel, a six-speaker sound system, and a 5-inch Uconnect touchscreen. The infotainment system will feature Bluetooth connectivity, a six-speaker sound system, a media player interface, and an auxiliary audio jack. The optional Popular Equipment Group will add a satellite radio, rear parking sensors and a remote ignition, while the Power Sunroof Group adds a rear spoiler and a sunroof. The new Daytona trim will have many great features, and it shares exterior styling cues with the R/T trim, in addition to an upgraded suspension, leather/simulated-suede upholstery, forged alloy wheels, and other unique performance features. There are many available standalone features that can be equipped on the lower trims, in addition to a range of packages and design options.

The Charger is equipped with safety and security features including antilock disc brakes, stability/traction control, a driver knee airbag, side curtain airbags, and front seat side-impact airbags. Many Charger models will come standard with rear parking sensors and a rearview camera. Optional driver assistance features can include a lane departure warning and intervention system, a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
