The 2016 Jeep Cherokee is an extremely durable mid-sized sport utility vehicle (SUV). �Did you know that the SUV was named Four Wheeler Magazine's "2015 Four Wheeler of the Year"? The available models for 2016 include Limited, Latitude, Sport and the Trail-Rated Trailhawk. The Cherokee's Power

The 2016 Cherokee is all about what it does for drivers! This vehicle presents us with three available four-wheel drive systems: Active Drive I to make the SUV perform well through the use of an automatic power transfer unit (PTU), Active Drive II to make for superior climbing capability, and Active Drive Lock to get superior off-road capability. The Jeep Cherokee will provide you with up to 31 miles per gallon (mpg) highway, and its fuel tank holds up to 15.8 gallons of the substance that will get you places. These SUVs have Adaptive Cruise Control-Plus, so you can travel straight on interstates and like roads without having to steer. You may be able to drive 500 miles on one tank of gas. The Cherokee is the only mid-size SUV with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Cherokee has great on-road capability. A 3.2-liter V-6 engine is available for each Sport trim with its stop-start technology. The SUV offers up to 271 horsepower and 239 ft-lb of torque. Another available engine is the 2.4-liter MultiAir2 Tigershark I-4 that provides up to 184 horsepower and 171 ft-lb of torque. �There is a Jeep Selec-Terrain traction control system with five modes, which are Rock, Sand/Mud, Snow, Sport and Auto. The SUV provides low-range traction through its 56:1 crawl ratio. The Cherokee will haul up to 4,500 pounds worth of stuff behind it. If you don't have to have 4x4 capability on the SUV, you can use rear-axle disconnect to less energy escaping from the SUV for a more fuel-efficient vehicle.

The Exterior & Interior

The SUV's ground clearance is 8.7 inches, and there are ten available colors for the exterior. As mentioned above, the 2016 Cherokee has Siri Eyes Free, a voice command feature that allows people to send texts, make calls, choose music to play and do other things on their cell phone while keeping eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. Siri Eyes Free also provides people with turn-by-turn directions. Siri Eyes free is compatible with the Apple iPhone 4s model or later. The Do-Not Disturb feature is there for people who do not want to deal with their cell phone at all while driving, and want callers or texters to know that they are not presently available. Do-Not Disturb can be accessed through Cherokee's Uconnect screen, and can send automatic responses to texters or send calls to voicemail. As also mentioned above, the Cherokee has a Drag and Drop Menu on its touchscreen. A Drag and Drop Menu Bar allows people to personalize their touchscreens to have one-button access to features they use most, and examples of the features are Yelp, Travel Link, or heated or cooled seating.

Coupled with the terrain mode you select, it activates and regulates up to 12 systems--which include a transmission controller, powertrain controller and Selec-Speed Control--on any terrain.
