Christmas Angels
This program matches local families with sponsors who can give toys and clothing to children during the holiday season. In addition, United Way of Johnson County partners with Grace Methodist Church to run their Angel Tree Store, which provides toys and clothing to those in need from locally donated sources like local businesses and community members.
In 2017 alone, the Christmas Angels program helped 464 families, a total of 1,143 children, receive toys and clothing for the holiday season.
Day of Caring
The Day of Caring is meant to promote and highlight the benefits volunteerism can have on the community. This program raises awareness of local human service agencies, and shows what a group of people working together for the betterment of their community can accomplish. These local projects include landscaping, building repair and construction, painting, and cleaning.

There are multiple ways that you can volunteer, including daily volunteer work in one of their Cat Care, Cleanup, or Office Assistance positions. Some additional opportunities for volunteering are listed below, which include:

- Cat Socialization: Volunteers who spend time with the community’s feline friends during operating hours.
