2018 Jeep Wrangler JL: Power to Impress

While there are a few details being sorted out, we know that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL is going to come standard with a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine, which is projected to deliver up to 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

The Wrangler JL also offers the option of a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo engine with eTorque assist, which can get the vehicle to deliver 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Not only does this engine option come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, but it provides a pretty significant boost in fuel economy.

Wrangler JL Rugged Design & Appearance

Any fan of the Jeep Wrangler will certainly enjoy the rugged and adventurous design of the JL. Just from appearance, you can tell that this vehicle is going to be fun both on and off the road. The windows and windshield are removable for when the driver wants to push it to the limit on varying terrain. It even features an electrically operated canvas roof that can slide toward the rear and open up the top for particularly beautiful weather.

The 2018 Wrangler JL also shows some pretty interesting updates to the body. This includes a longer vehicle with an expansive axle and a slightly larger wheelbase. Looking at the tires, you can pretty much determine that this vehicle can handle itself out in the mud or crawling on rocks.

Media & Entertainment

Drivers can expect to see the Next-Generation Uconnect® 3 infotainment system with a 5-inch screen. This entertainment command center provides drivers with easy access to their media features by touching the screen.

However, this system also features the Uconnect® Voice Command that allows drivers to use their voice when selecting their media options, or choosing a phone contact to chat with while on the road. The vehicle will also include upgrade options for an increase in amenities and media options to keep you entertained during lengthy trips or off-roading adventures.
