Power & Performance of the 2022 Jeep Cherokee

Highway driving has never been this fun, and it’s all thanks to the Cherokee’s projected 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, netting 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. This engine will come standard on the base model—the Jeep Cherokee Latitude—and will be complemented by a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

For a bit of extra power, the 2022 Cherokee will offer two additional engines, the first being a 3.2L Pentastar® V6 with 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque. A 2.0L Turbocharged engine sits on top and will bring 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.  

The Cherokee will also be available with four-wheel drive through the Jeep Active Drive 4x4 System. When roads become unpredictable, this system will automatically engage four-wheel drive mode while actively monitoring slippage.

If you ever drift from your designated lane unintentionally, this LaneSense® will send both a visual and audial alert and can even course correct you vehicle back on track.

Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection
If another vehicle is traveling in one of your blind spot zones, Blind Spot Monitoring will alert you. Rear Cross Path Detection, on the other hand, will send a warning of any vehicles crossing your path while backing up.
