The 2019 Ram 2500 is a rugged, heavy-duty pickup truck with the power and capacity to tow just about anything you need, but that’s not all it has to offer. Ram 2500 Towing Capacity

The maximum towing capacity for the Ram 2500 comes with the turbodiesel engine and its 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Ram 2500 can tow up to 19,780 pounds and haul up to 4,050 pounds.

This maximum towing capacity depends on the cab and bed configurations. The Ram 2500 is available in two-door regular cab, four-door crew cab, and four-door mega cab in either two- or four-wheel drive. Available bed sizes include an 8-foot bed and a 6-foot-4 bed. The RamBox® in-bed storage system is an option for the Ram 2500, giving you additional, protected storage space in the bed for more valuable items.

Ram 2500 Technology

The Ram 2500 can be equipped with a 5-inch, 8.4-inch, or 12-inch touchscreen for infotainment with built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, and Bluetooth® connectivity. The Uconnect® infotainment system is widely regarded as one of the best on the market, featuring a user-friendly layout, sharp menu icons, and a crisp, clear touchscreen, as well as the compatibility with third-party apps and devices to stream music and information through the onboard system.

For safety features, the Ram 2500 comes standard with a rearview camera, but optional features include a cargo camera and a surround-view camera for easy hookup and loading. Ram 2500 Performance

The base engine for the Ram 2500 is a 6.4-liter gas-powered V8 that produces 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque with cylinder deactivation, which shuts down cylinders in low-load situations for better efficiency. This engine mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission that extracts more power and efficiency.

The uprated engine option is a 6.7-liter inline-six Cummins turbo diesel engine that pumps out 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. This engine mates to a six-speed automatic transmission. For a massive truck, the Ram 2500 has a remarkable light ride and grace through normal driving situations, due to its revised suspension. A rear air suspension is also available to help level loads and improve trailer hookup, making towing easier and more confident.
