2021 Jeep Gladiator Trim Levels

2020 Jeep Gladiator Trim Levels

Ever since you’ve seen the 2021 Jeep Gladiator, you’ve been hankering to try it out on the roads near Franklin, Greenwood, and New Whiteland, IN. When you look it up, though, you see multiple separate trim levels, including the Sport, Sport S, Overland, Rubicon, Mojave, and High Altitude.

Which do you choose? With this 2021 Jeep Gladiator trim levels review, our team at Fletcher CDJR is here to help you figure it out.

Heavy-Duty Gladiator Performance

2021 Jeep Gladiator performanceIn every Jeep Gladiator trim, you can opt for the 8-speed automatic transmission—or go rogue and stick with the standard 6-speed manual transmission. You can also rely on a traction system to grip the ground below your wheels, no matter which trim you go with.

The Command-Trac® Part Time 4WD system, standard for all but the Rubicon trim, can gently switch you from 2WD to 4WD as you pass over more stubborn terrain. It will issue torque from between the front and rear axles to enhance your traction.

The Selec-Trac® Full-Time 4WD System is also available on the Sport S, Overland, Mojave, and High Altitude trims. This system will automatically engage and disengage 4WD as needed when you’re in mixed surface road conditions. This will help you maintain traction.

Only the Rubicon trim offers the Rock-Trac® 4WD system, which takes traction support to the extreme by crawling at very low speeds and keeping a steady grasp of the road surface

The Rubicon, Overland, Mojave, and High Altitude trims have an available Forward-Facing TrailCam to give you an optimal view of what’s in front of you

Jeep Gladiator Engine Specs

2021 Jeep Gladitor engine specsWhen it comes to more performance specs, a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine with Variable Valve Timing, and Engine Stop/Start technology, is standard on all trims. This engine provides 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

On all but the base Sport trim and the Mojave trim, there’s also an available 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine. This engine has a Variable Geometry Turbocharger and includes stop/start technology, which will turn your engine off when your vehicle comes to a stop. This maximizes efficiency.

When it comes to power, the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine puts out up to 260 horsepower and best-in-class 442 lb-ft of torque. You can also benefit from the available Trac-Lok® Anti-Spin Rear Differential that this engine provides on most trims. This torque-sensitive mechanical unit works in rough conditions and helps to maintain traction by distributing available torque to the rear wheel with the most traction.

2021 Jeep Gladiator towing capacity

Jeep Gladiator Towing Capacity

The variety of towing capacities in the Gladiator makes it important to understand which trim you need to accomplish your specific towing trips. While Trailer Sway Control comes standard, you can add the ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera with Trailer Hitch Zoom and Trailer Brake Control if you wish.

If you drive the Sport or Sport S, you can tow up to 4,000 pounds. It also touts a best-in-class maximum towing capacity of 7,650.

Infotainment in Your Gladiator

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator even comes with some high-tech options to enhance your ride. You can choose different size touchscreen displays for use in your Gladiator to view your performance stats, directions, and who’s calling you at that very moment.

The Sport trim comes with Uconnect® 3 with a 5-inch display. This also includes AM/FM radio, available SiriusXM®, and Bluetooth®.

However, Uconnect® 4 with a 7-inch touchscreen is available in other trims. Not only is the screen slightly bigger, but they also have Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration.

Plus, most trims can be upgraded to the Uconnect® 4C NAV with an 8.4-inch screen. This will add on an even bigger screen, which will make it easier for you to see information on your screen, as well as the navigation system.

Gladiator Comfort and Convenience

2021 Jeep Gladiator comfort and convenienceAs you’re tackling all these tough tasks, you want to be as comfortable as possible—optional heated front seats and a toasty steering wheel are offered in several trims. If you find a leather-wrapped steering wheel attractive, it’s also available.

You can even select specific material to customize your interior further—or, if it’s not a concern, you can go with the standard upholstery. The Overland features cloth bucket seats.

Standard cloth bucket seats can be found in the Sport and Sport S trims, while you can sink into available leather-trimmed bucket seats in the Overland. When it comes to the Mojave trim, you have standard premium cloth seats with sport bolsters, though you can upgrade to the available leather-trimmed bucket seats with sport bolsters.

The High Altitude trim comes with quilted Nappa leather-trimmed bucket seats, which will make your ride even more comfortable.
