Chocolate or Vanilla? One scoop or two? Waffle cone or a cup? Our everyday lives are full of options, like ordering the perfect batch of ice cream.

Although purchasing a new vehicle isn’t something you partake in every day, it too comes with a plethora of choices, especially if that vehicle is the 2021 Jeep Renegade. That’s because the Renegade is available in eight total trim levels—four mainstays and four limited editions.

The Fletcher Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram team is here to showcase these eight trims. Through this 2021 Jeep Renegade trim levels review, you’ll be better able to choose the right option for your journeys throughout Franklin, Greenwood, and New Whiteland, Indiana.

Let’s get started!

2021 Jeep Renegade Sport: Anything but Basic

2021 Jeep Renegade Orange

We’re about to show drivers what they’ll be getting with the base line Jeep Renegade—known as the Sport. However, just because it’s the standard trim level, that doesn’t mean it’s just your ordinary SUV.

Actually, you’ll find it’s quite the contrary, particularly when looking under the hood. The Renegade Sport comes standard with Jeep’s powerful 2.4-liter Tigershark® engine featuring advanced MultiAir® technology, which nets 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. It’s also quite fuel-efficient, providing an EPA-estimated 22 city and 30 highway MPG.

Not only does the Renegade Sport provide the power, but it also provides the room, boasting some seriously spacious cargo accommodations—18.5 cubic feet of volume behind the second row, and 50.8 cubic feet of volume behind the first, to be exact.

Standard seating appointments are quite satisfying in the Sport as well, with cloth trim throughout and a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat.

2021 Renegade Exterior Upgrades: Head-Turning Functionality

The Jeep Renegade’s exterior is a wonderful mesh of both form and function, providing an extra helping of utility and convenience in a package that’s sure to turn some heads.

Take the Jeep Renegade Latitude, for example. It offers LED Cornering Fog Lamps. Who’s up for some nighttime adventuring or perhaps an early-morning excursion? The Latitude sure is.

If you enjoy surrounding yourself with all things sleek and minimalistic, then you’ll love the 17-inch matte black wheels and matching grille rings found on the Renegade Freedom Edition.

The Renegade Jeepster is another one with some subtle details, including deep-tinted sunscreen glass for added security and sun glare blocking.

For those who prefer to stand out, the Jeep Renegade Islander has got you covered with an exclusive white hood decal and available alpine white painted roof.

Jeep Renegade Trailhawk: Off-Roading at its Finest

2021 Jeep Renegade with Bikes White

The 2021 Renegade Trailhawk is so special, we’ve decided to give it a section all its own. What is it that makes this SUV so noteworthy, you ask?

It all comes down to one thing: A badge. Jeep’s Trail Rated® badge, specifically. This patch of honor is awarded to Jeep vehicles that pass a series of grueling off-road tests in order to prove mastery over the following categories:

Water Fording
The Trailhawk was built with moisture-resistant body openings, a high air intake, and sealed electrical connections, allowing drivers to easily ride through creeks, puddles, and streams.

Ground Clearance
Protective underbody parts such as skid plates and heightened ground clearance make the Trailhawk a pro at driving over small rocks, branches, and other debris.

Articulation
For maximum traction while climbing over obstacles, this Renegade comes prepared with axel articulation and expert suspension.

Maneuverability
Thanks to precise steering systems and optimized wheelbases, the Trailhawk will traverse tight trails with ease and grace.

Jeep Renegade Interior Options: Living in the Lap of Luxury

Last, but certainly not least, it’s time we look at the luxurious improvements of the seven additional trim levels within the Jeep Renegade family.

Take, for instance, the Limited’s optional heated leather-trimmed front seats with 8-way driver’s seat directional control and 4-way power lumbar support. If that’s not fancy enough, the steering wheel is leather, too. How’s that for driving in style?

As for infotainment, the Renegade Latitude offers Jeep’s Uconnect®4 with a 7-inch touchscreen display. For an even larger screen, Limited’s standard Uconnect® 4C NAV with 8.4-inch touchscreen provides easy access to various vehicle and entertainment information, while also keeping your eyes on the road ahead.

Whichever one you choose, they both support Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, bringing your music, text messages, and calls to your vehicle.
